InfoCons - European Organisation for Consumer Protection has signed a collaboration protocol with the Intelligent Energy Association (AEI), in order to develop joint initiatives to inform and educate consumers in the field of energy.
"The partnership aims to bring to consumers' attention the importance of knowing their rights and responsibilities in relation to suppliers and operators in the energy sector, in a context in which transparency, access to information and trust in the institutions involved become essential. Among the targeted directions are information campaigns, specialised courses, useful guides, digital platforms and databases with essential information, as well as other joint projects. The partnership between InfoCons and the Intelligent Energy Association responds to a real need for support and guidance of energy consumers, in a sector that is constantly evolving and marked by technological, economic and legislative challenges. The collaboration also aims to mutually promote the initiatives of the two organisations and strengthen a real support network for consumers in Romania," according to a press release from the Intelligent Energy Association issued on Thursday.
InfoCons was founded in 2003, and currently carries out an uninterrupted activity, being a member of various organisations, advisory commissions of authorities, working groups, partner in national and international programmes.
AEI is a Romanian organisation dedicated to promoting energy efficiency, sustainability and transparency in the energy sector, founded in 2016.
