The National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest will organise, from March 10 to 12, at the Palace of Parliament, a new edition of the international event called "Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest 2026 (DISB 2026)," dedicated to digital transformation.
According to a press release from the organiser, sent to AGERPRES on Friday, the event will take place under the High Patronage of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies and of the Government of Romania and will bring together decision-makers, international experts, representatives of academia, industry and public administration in order to debate the most relevant topics of the present and future of the digital sphere.
The summit integrates a series of conferences with a long-standing national and international tradition: the Critical Infrastructure Protection Forum (CIP Forum) - 9th edition, focused on dual-use technologies and artificial intelligence; the International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy (ICCD) - 5th edition; the Blockchain Intelligence Forum - 2nd edition; the International Conference on Virtual Learning (ICVL) - 21st edition; the National Conference on Virtual Learning (CNIV) - 24th edition.
In addition, the DISB 2026 agenda will cover topics such as AI, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, blockchain, digital governance, digital education and international cooperation in emerging technologies.
"The Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest 2026 is more than an event - it is a platform for dialogue and international cooperation. Our aim is to bring together visions, expertise and concrete solutions to strengthen digital resilience and to capitalise on emerging technologies for the benefit of society and the economy. In this way, the ICI Bucharest contributes to supporting digital transformation at both national and European level," General Director of the ICI Bucharest Victor Vevera said, as quoted in the release.
The Bucharest event will offer participants extensive networking opportunities, facilitating dialogue between diplomats, opinion leaders, researchers and representatives of the private sector in a setting dedicated to collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
Attendance at the summit is possible only through online registration, available on the www.disb.ro website.
