Help Net launches HelpLine, first application aimed at COVID-19 patients

Help Net launches HelpLine, the first mobile application in Romania dedicated to patients isolated at home following a positive Covid-19 test.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Monday, the application comes to the aid of patients affected by both the disease and the isolation itself, with concrete solutions, with direct access to optimal medical services and with the right treatment. Help Net patients can benefit from the help of a team of specialist physicians, who will respond to all their requests.

"We have joined the Help Net team, caring for patients and their welfare being at heart of our concerns. With the help of the HelpLine app, medics take over patients infected with SARS-CoV-2, giving them the opportunity to receive specialized help, appropriate treatment and direct monitoring, throughout the entire isolation period. We will be in constant contact with our patients and provide them with tailored medical services It is the right time to remember that each of us has an important role to play in keeping ourselves and others healthy," said Claudiu Ruscu, ICU medic, part of the partner medical team.

Thus, through HelpLine, any patient confirmed with Covid-19, who adheres to the Regulation of the "Covid-19 Support" Campaign, can communicate directly and at no charge with specialists, who will provide consultation, monitoring and support during the 14-day isolation. Following the medical recommendations received, patients can benefit from immediate treatment, which they can purchase from Help Net Pharmacies, with same-day delivery.

After registration in the application and enrollment in the programme according to the Regulation, the patient enters a preliminary medical screening process, through which he or she is classified in the appropriate medical category, depending on his/her medical history, being then taken over by a specialist. The medic will perform the consultation online, prescribe the appropriate treatment and will remain in direct contact with the patient. For the constant monitoring of the patient's health, a communication channel established by mutual agreement will be used via e-mail, telephone or through online messaging applications (Whatsapp, etc.).

"We had colleagues, relatives, acquaintances around us who faced this disease and the isolation that comes with it and we understood how important it is to have the support and help to get through this difficult period more easily. We launched this dedicated community service to ensure that our patients receive the attention and medical care they need, even during the isolation caused by SARS CoV 2 infection, when they are unable to get to a physician or to a pharmacy. The HelpLine App is and our response and way to be as close as possible to patients, to offer them premium products and services," said Sebastian Ring, managing director of Help Net.

The HelpLine application is available in Google Play, but also on www.helpnet.ro, where it can be accessed directly from the computer.
