PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu welcomed the decisions taken Wednesday by the governing coalition, saying "reason has prevailed" and that the Social Democrats' arguments were validated by their partners.

He wrote on Facebook that PSD defended the interests of employees, rural households, and the national economy.

"I am pleased that reason has prevailed and that PSD's arguments were validated by coalition partners through the decisions taken this evening. PSD has defended the interests of employees, rural households, and the national economy! Accordingly, the economic stimulus measures proposed by PSD since the start of this autumn will be detailed before the adoption of the 2026 budget and included in next year's budget projection. As PSD insisted, the minimum wage will be increased next year, rising to 4,325 lei from 1 July 2026. We have kept our promise, and taxation of greenhouses in households will be eliminated. The public administration reform package will be finalised, including a reduction in central administration expenses, without cutting salaries," Grindeanu said.
