PSD President Marcel Ciolacu, designated for the position of Prime Minister, declared on Monday that the rapid organization of the presidential elections represents a major objective of the Government.
"Romania needs a fully functional government today. This is something expected and a strong signal for investors, for external partners and for the Romanian economy. (...) A major objective of this Cabinet is the rapid organization of presidential elections, in full security and total transparency. Romanians must elect their president in a normal climate, not in a hybrid reality built outside the country, by enemies of Romania. That's why, together with my colleagues in the Government, I will make sure that the presidential elections will be fair for all competitors and that the will of the Romanians - and not the algorithms of social networks - will decide the president of Romania", declared Ciolacu in the plenary sitting of the Parliament, at the joint investiture meeting of the future Government, Agerpres informs.
