Romanian tennis player Filip Cristian Jianu won the ITF Antalya tournament (M25), equipped with total prizes worth 30,000 US dollars, on Sunday, after defeating Serbian Dusan Obradovic in the final, 6-1, 6-1.
Jianu (24 years old, 278 ATP), seed no. 1, defeated Obradovic (24 years old, 562 ATP) in 64 minutes, agerpres reports.
The Romanian had previously defeated Obradovic in 2023, in the semifinals of the ITF tournament in Pirot (Serbia), 6-3, 6-1.
Jianu defeated compatriot Radu David Turcanu in the first round, 7-5, 6-1, in the round of 16 he defeated Russian Andrei Cepelev, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, in the quarterfinals he left behind Japanese Makoto Ochi, 6-3, 6-2, and in the semifinals he won the duel with Spaniard Carlos Sanchez Jover, 6-2, 6-2.
This is Jianu's 15th ITF title in singles and the 3rd in the M25 category.
The doubles title went to Romanians Gabriel Ghetu and Radu David Turcanu, who defeated Romanian-Cypriot couple Alexandru Cristian Dumitru/Eleftherios Neos, 6-4, 6-1.
