PSD MP Mihai Fifor states that, according to the coalition's Political Agreement, ministers can be evaluated and dismissed in serious situations, and the Paltinu case is ''a textbook example of administrative failure, negligence and irresponsibility''.
''An evaluation of the activity of Minister Diana Buzoianu. That's what PSD asked the Prime Minister before the vote on the simple motion. The result? Silence. Moreover, the Prime Minister himself went to the Senate to ensure that his protégé keeps her seat, despite a disaster that left over 120,000 people without water. We demand this evaluation today, unequivocally, along with the dismissal of the USR Minister of the Environment. The Coalition's Political Agreement is clear: ministers can be evaluated and dismissed in serious situations, and the Paltinu case is a textbook example of administrative failure, negligence and irresponsibility. "We cannot accept pretending not to see the reality - over 120,000 people are standing in line with water cans, while no one is politically responsible for the catastrophic management of an operation under the direct responsibility of the Ministry of Environment," Fifor posted on Facebook.
In the social democrat's opinion, this is no longer just a problem for a minister or the USR, it is a problem that weighs on the entire Government and the entire Coalition.
"The refusal to discuss the evaluation and dismissal of Minister Buzoianu sends an extremely dangerous message: that incompetence, negligence and lack of responsibility are tolerated at the governmental level. After the adoption of the simple motion, the continuation of this refusal becomes incomprehensible and deeply harmful to the credibility of the act of governance. In this context, the arrogance and audacity of Minister Buzoianu to divert the discussion by invoking the so-called 'Romsilva reform' is not only cynical, but also deeply manipulative," said Fifor.
Mihai Fifor shows that the restructuring of Romsilva has no connection with the disaster in Paltinu.
"Regardless of Mrs. Buzoianu's declarative intentions regarding Romsilva, they do not erase or diminish her political responsibility for a catastrophe that affected the lives of over 120,000 people. USR must stop these maneuvers to manipulate public opinion and honestly answer a simple question: why does it continue to support Minister Buzoianu after a failure of such proportions? Why does it stubbornly keep her in office, instead of assuming political responsibility towards the people who are standing in line with water cans and who are directly paying the price of government incompetence?", stated the PSD deputy.
