Eduard Novak, a ministerial candidate nominated by Prime Minister-designate Nicolae Ciuca, on Wednesday cleared hearings at a joint meeting of Parliament's committees on education, science, youth and sports for a new term in office at a new Ministry of Sports that resulted from decoupling it from the former Ministry of Sports and Youth, agerpres reports.
Novak received 17 votes for and 5 against; there were also three abstentions.
