The "Dinu Lipatti" Philharmonic Orchestra from Satu Mare is opening its new season with an extraordinary concert held under the aegis of the "George Enescu" International Festival, according to a press release on Monday.
"The 'Dinu Lipatti' State Philharmonic is pleased to announce the official opening of its new concert season, a prestigious event held under the aegis of the 'George Enescu' International Festival. Internationally renowned artists, applauded on some of the world's greatest stages, will perform on the stage of the Satu Mare Philharmonic, marking a moment that strengthens our institution's position on both the national and international cultural map. This event is organized in partnership with Artexim, the institution coordinating the 'George Enescu' International Festival - a cultural project funded by Romania's Government through the Ministry of Culture. Once again this year, the Satu Mare Philharmonic has the honor of being included among the cities hosting affiliated events of the prestigious festival," the quoted source mentioned, agerpres reports.
The extraordinary concert will be performed by David Grimal in a dual role as both soloist and conductor, a regular guest artist of the "George Enescu" International Festival.
The program features two masterpieces signed by Ludwig van Beethoven: Violin Concerto in D major Op. 61 and Symphony No. 7 in A major Op. 92.
The event is scheduled for September 18, starting at 7:00 PM.
