Deputy Chairman of National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) Mihai Gogancea-Vatasoiu was dismissed from office by Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos on Thursday, official sources told AGERPRES.
The dismissal decision will be published in the Official Journal.
Previously, official sources confirmed that ANAF Chairman Gelu Diaconu was also fired.
The National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA) on Wednesday ordered a continuation in the criminal prosecution of several suspects, including Chairman of ANAF Gelu Stefan Diaconu and his deputy Mihai Gogancea-Vatasoiu, in a case which main defendants are MPs Madalin Voicu and Nicolae Paun.
The two are being investigated for aiding and abetting and abuse of office with procurement of ill-gotten gains for self or others. AGERPRES
