The Local Council of Sector 1 approved on Tuesday, in its meeting, the financing of the modernization, rehabilitation, expansion and equipment of the Rapid Club's sports facility, located on Bucurestii Noi Boulevard.
The sports facility will be used by both high-performance athletes and the local community, thus facilitating access for children, young people and citizens of Sector 1 to sports activities in a modern facility, the local administration informed in a press release sent to AGERPRES.
The total value of the investment exceeds 52 million RON, the Sector 1 City Hall stated.
According to the cited source, the financing will be provided in stages from the Sector 1 budget, the investment being expected to bring "significant" social and community benefits.
