Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Thursday's session higher

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday's session higher, with turnover standing at 22.5 million lei (4.42 million euros) 30 minutes after the start of trading.

The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, posted an advance of 0.21%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, rose 0.22%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, covering the 25 most liquid stocks, was up 0.25%, while BET-BK, the benchmark for investment fund performance, gained 0.36%.

The BET-FI index of financial investment companies recorded an increase of 0.29%, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, increased 0.10%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was up 0.83%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Biofarm (+12.92%), One United Properties (+5.3%) and Altur (+4.84%).

On the other hand, shares of Turism Hoteluri Restaurante Marea Neagra (-3.7%), IAR Brasov (-2.03%) and Patria Bank (-1.71%) were down.
