Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher on Friday with trading volume reaching RON 9.49 million (1.86 million euros)

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Friday, with trading volume reaching RON 9.49 million (1.86 million euros) thirty minutes after the market opened.

The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, saw an increase of 0.31%, while the BET-Plus index, covering the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, rose by 0.29%.

Meanwhile, the extended blue-chip BET-XT index, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.30%, and the benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, advanced by 0.28%.

The BET-FI index of the SIFs fell by 0.11%, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, increased by 0.36%.

According to BVB data, the shares with the largest gains belonged to Rompetrol Rafinare (+4.52%), Condmag (+4.17%) and Bittnet Systems (+4.04%).

On the other hand, shares that declined belonged to Altur (-4.03%), Biofarm (-1.16%) and Rompetrol Well Services (-1.04%).
