Bucharest Stock Exchange closes mixed in first trading session of the week

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed mixed in the first trading session of the week, with turnover totalling RON 69.138 million (EUR 13.567 million).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which tracks the 20 most traded companies listed on the regulated market, edged down by 0.02% to 27,896.95 points, while BET-Plus, which reflects the performance of the 43 most liquid shares, declined by 0.03%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, rose by 0.01%, while the financial investment companies index, BET-FI, gained 0.73%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund returns, closed up 0.28%, while BET-NG, which measures the performance of the ten energy and utilities companies, increased by 0.04%.

Meanwhile, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, rose by 0.41%.

The most traded shares were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions worth RON 28.107 million, followed by Romgaz (RON 17.485 million) and OMV Petrom (RON 2.446 million).

Among the best-performing stocks were Electroaparataj (+12.50%), COMCM (+11.56%) and UAMT (+9.38%).

Conversely, the steepest declines were recorded by Energopetrol (-12.27%), Romcab (-8.15%) and Comelf (-5.96%).
