Bucharest Stock Exchange closes higher Thursday's session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed higher on Thursday, with the value of transactions rising to 116.35 million RON (20 million euros), from 74.94 million RON (14.82 million euros) in the previous session.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, appreciated by 1.22%, to 18,812.65 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed higher by 1.24%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an advance of 1.20%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, appreciated by 0.92%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, rose by 1.42%, and BET-NG, which measures the evolution of ten energy and utility companies, closed up by 0.78%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed with a rise of 1.13%.

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 41.99 million RON, followed by Electrica shares, with almost 10.8 million RON, and OMV Petrom, with 9.34 million RON.

The best developments were recorded by Sinteza shares (+14.93%), Romcab (+14.56%) and Bittnet (+11.88%).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by Electroaparataj shares (-14.61%), Napoca (-12.95%) and Energopetrol (9.09%).
