A metallic fragment believed to have come from a drone was discovered on Tuesday on the beach in the northern part of the Mamaia seaside resort, prompting authorities to intervene.
The metal piece, which appears to be a drone wing, was collected from the beach by experts for examination.
Drone fragments have been found twice earlier this month in the area, both in Mamaia and between Costinesti and Tuzla.
On February 9, the National Defense Ministry announced that the metallic fragment found on the beach in Mamaia likely came from an unarmed drone shot down over the Black Sea during a multinational exercise held at the Capu Midia training range.
A few days later, on February 12, the Coast Guard reported that border police officers found on the beach near Tuzla metal debris believed to belong to an unmanned aerial vehicle, with no visible markings.
