Romanian athlete Mihai Radu Mihut won on Tuesday the bronze medal in the 63 kg Greco-Roman category at the World Wrestling Championships hosted by the Ioan Kunst-Ghermanescu Polivalenta Hall in Bucharest according to Agerpres.
Mihut, European champion this year, defeated Uzbek Tirabek Tirkashev through technical superiority in the match for the bronze medal.
The gold medal was grabbed by the Japanese Katsuaki Endo, who defeated Alexandru Biciu in the final.
Romania also secured a medal on Tuesday, through Nicu Ojog, at the 82 kg category, who will fight for gold with Georgian Ghela Bolkvadze in the final on Wednesday.
Romania participates with 30 athletes, 10 for each style in the Under 23 World Wrestling Championships hosted by the Polivalenta Hall in Bucharest from 12-18 November.
