One more child - the third - died of hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) on Tuesday at the Marie Curie Hospital in Bucharest, despite intubation and mechanical ventilation, the Ministry of Health confirmed.
Medical sources mentioned it was a girl aged one year and four months; her condition worsened starting from Sunday night.
Three children are in intensive care at the Marie Curie Hospital, and five more in the nephrology ward, all treated for HUS. One child was released from the hospital on Tuesday.
All cases come from Arges County, and epidemiological investigations so far failed to identify a probable common cause. AGERPRES
