Team Romania won four medals - three silver and one bronze - at the 30th edition of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2018), which took place in Tsukuba, Japan, September 1-8 September.
The silver medals went to Alex Tatomir (12th grade / Nicolae Balcescu Collegiate High School of Braila), Ioan-Tiberiu Musat (9th grade) and Stefan Constantin-Buliga (12th grade) both from the Tudor Vianu Collegiate High School of Bucharest. Stefan Constantin-Buliga won a gold medal at the previous edition.
Costin-Andrei Oncescu (12th grade / Dinicu Golescu Collegiate High School of Campulung Muscel, Arges) a silver medallist in 2016 and a bronze medallist in 2017, won another bronze medal.
The team was accompanied and coordinated by Szabo Zoltan, professor at the Petru Maior Technological High School of Reghin, Mures County, and Adrian Budau, a student at the University of Bucharest.
