Speaker of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies Sorin Grindeanu sent a message on Monday, July 14, France's National Day, thanking France for its constant support.
"Today, on France's National Day, we celebrate a historic moment, but also a free, courageous and dignified way of thinking. As speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, I want to thank France for its constant support for Romania at key moments in its history. France remains one of Romania's most important strategic partners both economically and in the security context generated by the war in Ukraine!" Grindeanu said in a social media post, agerpres reports.
Grindeanu added that, from a cultural point of view, France "has left a deep mark on the Romanian society," which "will continue to manifest itself in depth in the future as well".
