Several migrants who did not have the right to travel through the Schengen Area were found by border police in cars stopped at checkpoints on roads in the border area with Hungary, in Arad and Bihor counties.

Eleven migrants were found in two cars registered in Hungary, checked on the highway near Nadlac. The drivers are a man from the Republic of Moldova and a Romanian citizen, agerpres reports.

"Following the checks on the means of transport, a total of eleven foreign citizens were detected, traveling with the drivers, without travel documents. The persons were taken over and transported to the sector headquarters for checks where, following these, our colleagues established that they are citizens from Iraq," informs the Arad Border Police on Friday.

Also, in the Bors area, in a minibus registered in our country, driven by a Romanian, three migrants from Nepal, aged between 29 and 37, without travel documents, were found.

Border police from Arad and Bihor are investigating the three drivers for migrant trafficking. The fourteen migrants are being investigated for attempted fraudulent crossing of the state border.
