Romanian tennis player Rare Pieleanu on Friday advanced to the singles semifinals at the M15 Slobozia ITF tournament, prize money USD 15,000, after beating compatriot Robert Guna 7-5 7-5.
In the semis, Pieleanu will play the winner between Radu David Turcanu and Luca Preda, a fixture that was not played because of inclement weather.
Competing in the other semifinal will be Moldova's Ilia Snitari and British Jeremy Gschwendtner.
