Approximately 6,000 pupils and theachers from more than 600 localities in Romania and the Republic of Moldova presented their booktrailers at the International Booktrailer Festival Boovie, which takes place in Cluj-Napoca, July 14-17, with the best of them having been awarded by the jury on Wednesday night, at the gala.

The initiator and coordinator of this festival, Carmen Ion, told AGERPRES that the jury was thrilled with the pupils' works and that some booktrailers are even better than "what we can see on the market".

"There were approximately 50 events, including some absolutely exceptional meetings, with actress Medeea Marinescu, writers Florin Bican and Alex Moldovan, actor Marius Manole, who made a tremendous impression on those present. We had some exceptional trainers, and all the workshops were full. It's a feeling of accomplishment that our work was not in vain. I would like to give a special mention to Mrs. Diana Buluga, actress at the Cluj Theatre, who yesterday had a wonderful meeting with the children, during which she also introduced them to the National Theatre. The jury was impressed by the quality of the trailers, Marius Manole said that some of them even reach a professional level, which somehow exceeds what is on the market," said Carmen Ion.

According to the organizers, there were 6,148 teams participating (5,520 pupils and 628 teachers) from 492 rural localities and 122 urban localities from Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
