A Romanian long-haul driver is being investigated for migrant trafficking, after being caught trying to smuggle three Syrians out of the country.
Authorities at the Nadlac II Border Crossing Point proceeded to inspect the truck which, according to the accompanying documents, was loaded with textiles for France, and found the three foreigners hidden in the cab's sleeping berth.
The clandestine travelers were taken to the police station for investigations and are now being probed for attempting to illegally cross the state border, the Arad Border Police informed.
