Minister of Justice Tudorel Toader had a meeting with the Austrian Ambassador to Romania Isabel Rauscher, on which occasion they discussed the reform of the judiciary and the MCV [Mechanism of Cooperation and Verification] Report.
"The main topics discussed at the meetings were related to the reform of the Romanian judiciary, the recent report of the Commission submitted to the European Parliament and Council regarding the progress recorded by Romania in respect to the Mechanism of Cooperation and Verification, the taking over by Romania of the European Union Council Presidency after Austria completed its current mandate, as well as cooperation between the two states in the justice field," reads a release of the Ministry of Justice on Wednesday sent to AGERPRES.
According to this source, the meeting took place on Tuesday, at the Ministry of Justice headquarters.
