Interim Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Marcel Ciolacu stated on Thursday that, not even now, did the National Liberal Party (PNL) understand that "endless restrictions and limitations" do not represent a solution during the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic and that a real partnership between the citizen and authorities is needed, and not "a whip."
"Not even now, did the PNL understand - when every lost day means 500 million euro disappearing from the economy - that endless restrictions and limitations doesn't represent a solution! That a real partnership between the citizen and authorities was and is still needed, not a whip! Was it so hard to discuss with all the factors involved? In finding solutions together? It was much simpler for everyone and more efficient, and the Government would have had enough time to focus only on economic reopening measures, on economic recovery. Because, in fact, this is the state's job," Ciolacu wrote on his Facebook page.
He added that "political arrogance has spoken," and the PNL Gov't wasn't interested in any of the areas where they could find a partner of dialogue.
