The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) and the National Institute for the Training and Proficiency of Lawyers (INPPA) concluded on Friday a collaboration protocol aimed at organizing a professional training program in electoral matters.
According to a press release from the AEP, the document was signed by the president of the institution, Zsombor Vajda, and by the director of the INPPA, professor Dan Oancea PhD.
The training program is intended for lawyers and aims to provide them with in-depth knowledge and practical skills to understand how to prepare, organize and conduct electoral processes.
"The Permanent Electoral Authority, through its experts involved in the development of the training program, will provide theoretical and practical knowledge derived from the experience accumulated by the institution in over 20 years of organizing elections, in order to develop the ability of the trainees to understand in depth the electoral mechanisms," said the AEP president, quoted in the press release.
The course will offer an applied and multidimensional approach to the specific topics of the electoral process, with an emphasis on understanding the legal, administrative and technological mechanisms that govern the organization of elections in Romania.
During the program, participants will cover essential topics such as the financing of electoral campaigns, the new European regulations on political advertising, the attributions of electoral bureaus at all levels, the legal procedures for contesting irregularities, as well as the functioning of electoral IT systems, the AEP informs.
