The Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT) issued no decision to approve the signing of protocols between the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) and the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), the Presidential Administration said in a release this Friday to AGERPRES.
"There is no Supreme Council for National Defence decision to approve the closing of protocols between the Romanian Intelligence Service and the National Anticorruption Directorate or between the Service and other public entities, and under the approved decisions the respective state entities were not tasked with supplementary responsibilities. The protocols have been concluded either at the request of the Romanian Intelligence Service, or at the request of the other entities involved, based on the provisions of the law or of their own statutes. A part of the protocols between the Romanian Intelligence Service and other Romanian public institutions have been made available to the Parliamentary committee on the oversight of SRI's activity, at the committee's request," the cited source said.
