Romanian President Klaus Iohannis arrived in Chisinau on Saturday, on the occasion of his official visit to the Republic of Moldova.
The Romanian head of state was received by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sanda, with whom he had official and tete-a-tete talks. Later, the two heads of state will participate in the signing ceremony of the Joint Declaration on bilateral cooperation to strengthen the resilience of the Republic of Moldova
The President of Romania will take part, at noon, in a ceremony of laying flowers at the bust of Mihai Eminescu in the Public Garden "Stefan cel Mare si Sfant" (Stephen the Great and Holy, editor's note) in the capital of the Republic of Moldova.
The visit of Klaus Iohannis to Chisinau takes place in the context in which the Republic of Moldova is celebrating Romanian Language Day on Saturday.
