President klaus Iohannis on Tuesday signed a series of decrees on the decoration of a number of battle flags, among which the one belonging to the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" Police Academy, Agerpres reports.
"According to the Presidential Administration, on the 130th anniversary since establishment, as a token of "appreciation of the important results obtained by the staff of the unit in accomplishing specific missions and for its contribution to the promotion of the image of the Romanian Army," President Iohannis bestowed the "Military Virtur" Order, with peace insignia, for the military, upon the Battle Flag of the 81st Tactical Operational Missiles Battalion "Maior Gheorghe Sontu."
Moreover, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary since the establishment of the first military espionage school, as a token of "appreciation of the high professionalism and remarkable results of the staff of the unit in specific missions, as well as for its contribution to the promotion of the image of the Romanian Army," President Iohannis bestowed the "Aeronautic Virtue" Order, for the military, with peace insignia, upon the Battle Flag of the Air Force Training School "Aurel Vlaicu".
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary since establishment, as a token of "appreciation of of the important results obtained by the staff of the unit in accomplishing specific missions and for its contribution to the promotion of the image of the Romanian Army," the head of state bestowed the "Military Virtue" Order, in rank of Commander, with peace insignia, upon the Battle Flag of the 47th Communications and Informatics Battalion "General Nicolae Petrescu."
"As a token of appreciation of the dedication of the generations of professors who contributed to the formation of the employees of the Ministry of Interior, attached to the value of the rule of law state," the head of state bestwoed the National Order "For Merit," in rank of Knight, with peace insignia, for the military, upon the Battle Flag of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" Police Academy.
