2025 was a year of challenges, but also of the courage not to give up in the face of difficult trials, a year that reminded us that true strength lies in unity, President Nicusor Dan declared on the first day of the New Year, adding that he looks towards 2026 with responsibility.
"2025 was a year of challenges, but also of the courage not to give up in the face of difficult trials. A year in which every step forward required determination, patience and trust in a better future. It was the year of a complex campaign, of important diplomatic visits and of meetings that outlined essential directions for the future of Romania. But, above all, it was a year of sincere dialogue with the people - in the squares, on the streets, in the communities, where the pulse of Romanian society is truly felt. 2025 reminded us that our true strength resides in unity, in the ability to stay together even when the road is difficult, with the common desire to build a future on solid foundations," the head of the state wrote on Facebook, potrivit Agerpres.
He also expressed hope that 2026 will be a year of peace and solidarity.
"I look to 2026 with responsibility and wish you all a year of stability, prosperity and accomplishments. May it be a year of peace, solidarity and trust that we do everything in good faith. Thank you for your trust. Let us move forward, together!," Nicusor Dan concluded.
