Romania will seek to achieve concrete results for the citizens through the activity that it will carry out when holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Prime Minister Viorica Dancila stated on Wednesday in the plenary sitting of Parliament.
"Romania will seek, through the activity that it will carry out at the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, to achieve concrete results for the citizens and make the most of the benefits that a solid, powerful and cohesive Union can bring to each citizen," Dancila stated.
According to the Executive head, Romania's Presidency of the Council of the EU will seek that the Union's policies permanently refer to the principle of cohesion among the member states and the various social-economic categories.
"We take into account cohesion both as a common European value and as an expression of unity among the European Union's states and regions," the PM added.
