Romanians Paul Rednic and Roxana Lucaciu became World Under 21 Standard Dancesport champions at the end of last week, announces the Romanian Dancesport Federation (FRDS) in a press release issued on Tuesday for AGERPRES.
Timisoara hosted last weekend the World Under 21 Standard Danceport Championships, as well as other major competitions, licensed by the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF).
The championships demonstrated the value of Romanian dancers who have achieved new performances.
By far the most important result is that of the pair made up of Paul Rednic and Roxana Lucaciu, who won the title of world Under 21 Standard Dancesport Champions. The second Romanian pair participating in this contest, Tiberiu Stan - Daria Grigore, also managed an exceptional performance, finishing third and winning the world bronze.
Moreover, the WDSF International Open Timisoara, the Adult Latin section, was won by Ionut Alexandru Miculescu-Andra Pacurar, with a new exceptional dance that brought them new international gold medals.
Also in Timisoara, at the WDSF Open Youth Standard, Sebastian Alin Zicoane-Anca Copos took the first place, the pair Dragos-Marian Comsa-Alexandra Cristina Bujor completing the evolution on the 5th place. Sebastian Alin Zicoane-Anca Copos also danced in same competition for adults, where they won the fourth place.
Also at the end of last week, the WDSF World Open competition was held in Almera (Netherlands), where the Adult Latino section was clearly won by the Romanian defending champions Paul Moldovan-Cristina Tatar.
Another Romanian success was recorded in Kiev, by Rares Cojoc-Andreea Matei, in the WDSF World Open Adult Standard competition, the FRDS informs.
