Romania's men's coxless four crew, composed of Stefan Berariu, Sergiu Bejan, Andrei Mandrila, Ciprian Tudosa, not without difficulty qualified for the Final A at the Paris Olympic Games on Tuesday, after finishing second in requalifications.
The Romanian rowers managed to overtake the French crew by only 07/100, after being more than 1,000 metres behind it.
They were clocked in 5 min 53 sec 52/100, being overtaken by Italy (5:52.65), while France finished third (5:53.59). Only the first two crews qualified for the Final A, the rest will play in Final B.
The finals of this event will take place on August 1st, first Final B (12:06) and then Final A (13:10).
Romania's men's coxless four crew thus joins the other four crews already qualified for the A Finals at the 2024 Olympics: men's double sculls, women's double sculls, women's coxless four and women's eight.
