Romania is ready to contribute to the continued multidimensional support to Ukraine and to strengthening security in the Black Sea region, President Nicusor Dan declared after participating on Tuesday in the Coalition of the Willing summit hosted in Paris by French President Emmanuel Macron, which was also attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"We agreed on the need for continued support for Ukraine and strong security guarantees, preventing another war in our region. Peace negotiations have reached a critical phase and our unity and coordination are more important than ever. All participants in the #CotW strongly support US-led efforts. Our common aim is to achieve a just and lasting peace, based on respect for international law," Nicusor Dan wrote on X.
At a press conference held at the Romanian Embassy in Paris, President Nicusor Dan stated that during the Coalition of the Willing meeting, a military document was drafted setting out how security guarantees for Ukraine will be implemented, how responsibilities will be divided, and who will coordinate them.
