New manufacturing orders advanced 18.6pct in nominal terms in Romania in the first four months of 2018, as against the similar period of 2017, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) reports.
According to INS data, the new orders in the manufacturing industry, January 1 - April 30, 2018, compared with the same period of 2017, increased by 18.6pct as a result of increases in the capital goods industry (+ 21.9pct ), intermediate goods industry (+ 17.0pct), durable goods industry (+ 9.7pct) and the consumer goods industry (+ 4.2pct).
In April 2018, new manufacturing orders (domestic and foreign markets) decreased by 6pct in nominal terms from the previous month and increased by 27.1pct y-o-y.
April 2018 new manufacturing orders against the previous month decreased on declines in the durable goods industry (-13.1pct), consumer goods industry (-13.1pct), capital goods industry (-6.5pct) and the intermediate goods industry (-2.7pct).
In April 2018, as against April 2017, new manufacturing orders went up by 27.1pct, as a result of increases in the capital goods industry (+ 30.9pct), intermediate goods industry (+ 26.6pct), durable goods industry (+ 11.7pct) and the consumer goods industry (+ 7.7pct).
