The number of new car registrations has dropped by 0.93 pct in the first 11 months of the current year, compared to the data of 2020, yet at the level of November the reduction was of over 13 pct, shows data from the Driving Permits and Vehicle Registration Regime Department (DRPCIV), quoted by Romanian Automobile Makers Association (ACAROM), agerpres reports.
According to the statistics published on Thursday, November recorded a volume of registrations of 11,480 new vehicles, by 13.38% lower than the level reported in the same period of last year.
In the January - November 2021 period, the level of new car registrations, in Romania, reached 109,350 units, dropping by 0.93 pct in comparison to the same period of 2020, when 110,377 units were recorded.
The ranking by brands is led, at the end of November, by Dacia - with 30,218 new units registered, followed by Hyundai (8,442), Toyota (8,255), Ford (7,673), Volkswagen (7,358), Skoda (7,340), Renault (7,148), Suzuki (4,163), Mercedes (3,402) and BMW (3,041).
In what regards second-hand vehicles, registered for the first time locally, their volume reached, in November, 30,280 units (-11.39 pct over November 2020), while in the first 11 months of the year, 368,521 units were recorded (-0.63%, compared to the similar interval of 2020.)
