National Council of SMEs implementing skill developing project for employees

A project co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), worth RON 4.96 million, will be implemented by the National Council of Romania's Small and Medium-sized Privately-owned Enterprises (CNIPMMR) in partnership with the Employers' Association of Romania's Young Entrepreneurs (PTIR).

According to CNIPMMR on Thursday, the "Competence Center" project will run until September 30, 2027, designed to strengthen public participation in the lifelong learning process to facilitate transitions and mobility.

The general objective of the project is to promote lifelong learning and flexible opportunities for upskilling and reskilling for employees in Romania's Centru region through their participation in appropriate career counselling programs, qualification, specialisation, management and digital transformation courses, as well as through access to customised educational support and transfer of good practices.

CNIPMMR representatives say that the project is designed for group of 603 employees aged between 18 and 65 years, including people who are holding management positions in publicly and privately-owned enterprises.

The main expected results are: 603 people participating incounselling sessions; a report on counselling and career guidance activities; a customer-tailored adapted platform that will provide employees with access to tools that will allow them to transition to jobs tailored to their needs, to evolve in their careers, to develop their area of competence and skills; 108 employees participating in a Digital Skills professional training programme ; 92 employees completing the digital skills course; 54 employees participating in management professional training programme; 46 employees graduating from the Management course.

Also, other targets refer to: 108 employees participating in a professional qualification training program (welders - 66 people, maintenance electricians - 42 people); 333 employees participating in specialist training courses for OSH specialists - 150 people, forklift drivers - 48 people, OSH inspectors - 108 people, and logisticians - 27 people.
