The National Cathedral will be open to the public between December 24, 2025 and January 8, 2026, the Press Office of the Romanian Patriarchate announced on Friday.

"The Romanian Patriarchate reminds all believers who wish to visit the National Cathedral that it will be open daily, between 9:00 and 17:00, between December 24, 2025 and January 8, 2026. Thus, during the celebration of the Nativity of the Lord, the New Year and the Baptism of the Lord, pilgrims and visitors from all over the country and abroad will be able to visit and worship in the National Cathedral," the Patriarchate specifies.

The National Cathedral will be open during the mentioned period only for visits, not for the performance of liturgical services, which will continue to be performed in the historic Patriarchal Cathedral of Saints Emperors Constantine and Helena, on Patriarchate Hill, and at the Chapel of the Cathedral of the Salvation of the People.

Starting January 9, 2026, the National Cathedral will be closed again for continued interior work.
