Minister-delegate for European Affairs George Ciamba welcomed on Thursday the appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Fusun Aramaz, on which occasion he presented the action coordinates and objectives of Romania during the presidency at the Council of the European Union, and stressed the importance of the EU-Turkey dialogue, to the benefit of both parties.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), the two interlocutors made a short overview of the bilateral relation, the objectives of common interest in the next period and the bilateral dialogue conducted on a bilateral and regional level.
Minister George Ciamba highlighted the Strategic Partnership between Romania and Turkey, the Action Plan that guides the bilateral relation and welcomed the upward trend of economic exchanges and deep cooperation on regional issues.
The Romanian official congratulated Fusun Aramaz for her appointment as Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Romania, assuring her of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' support for the fulfillment of her mandate, the MAE informs.
