The Government okayed, in Tuesday's meeting, at the proposal of the Ministry of Development, an emergency ordinance prioritizing investments financed by Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA) in 2026.

According to a press release from MDLPA for AGERPRES, for the objectives financed by the "Anghel Saligny" Program, prioritization criteria will be established depending on the categories of investments and the degree of settlement of the works, which will be approved by Government decision, within 30 days from the date of entry into force of this ordinance.

"Objectives that have as beneficiaries county councils, sectors of the capital or county residence municipalities will be financed in proportion of 80%, with a local co-financing in the amount of 20%, and the payment requests will be paid guaranteed by the Ministry of Development, in the order of their submission", according to the press release.

Also, next year, the 551 investments financed by the Ministry of Development, through the National Investment Company, whose settlement stage is higher than 50%, will be carried out according to the execution schedules, but investments with a settlement stage lower than 50% will also be supported, at a lower rate.

At the same time, the legal framework is being created through which beneficiaries can take over the financing of objectives already in execution, in order to complete them, if they wish and if the budget allows.

For projects financed through the National Investment Company and the National Housing Agency, applications will be submitted digitally, through the investitii.mdlpa.ro platform, on the same principle that was applied in the case of the "Anghel Saligny" National Investment Program and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the cited source mentions.

"At this moment, all the investment works executed are paid for on time, on all the programs coordinated by the ministry, and, for 2026, we aim to ensure the completion of the investments and to offer predictability to both local authorities and entrepreneurs," said the Minister of Development, Cseke Attila, quoted in the press release.
