Rusia a anunţat sâmbătă că a ucis nouă militanţi care intenţionau să comită un act terorist în regiunea Daghestan, din sudul ţării, transmite Reuters.
Comitetul antiterorist rus a anunţat pe website-ul său că primise informaţia conform căreia mai mulţi militanţi care plănuiau să comită un atac la începutul lunii mai se ascund în Derbent, al doilea oraş ca mărime din Daghestan.
Forţele speciale ruse au detectat două grupuri de militanţi în diferite părţi ale oraşului Derbent. Militanţii au deschis focul de armă după ce fuseseră somaţi să se predea, fiind apoi ucişi de forţele ruse.
În timpul incidentului nu s-au înregistrat răniţi în rândul civililor, adaugă Reuters.
