The European Consumer Centre Romania (ECC Romania), a directorate within the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), has prepared a special guide for young Romanians travelling in Europe, titled 'Young in Europe,' according to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Friday.
The online brochure contains useful information on travelling by different means of transport, such as plane, train and coach or bus, accommodation booking methods, situations that may arise when purchasing tickets for concerts or visits to tourist attractions in Europe, car rentals, as well as recommendations on making online or in-store purchases safely and on product guarantees.
The 'Young in Europe' guide can be accessed on the website of the European Consumer Centre Romania.
The brochure was produced by ECC Romania specialists to mark, in 2025, the 20th anniversary of the European Consumer Centres Network, ECC-Net, and the 17th anniversary of the European Consumer Centre Romania.
The information material, presented in a concise and reader-friendly format, aims to provide young people with the most important information on the rights they have when planning a trip within the European Union, as well as on the steps to follow if they encounter problems in any part of their journey.
For any of these situations, consumers can submit a request to the European Consumer Centre Romania which, if the conditions are met, will facilitate the amicable resolution of the issue with the help of colleagues from the ECC-Net network.
ECC Romania is part of the European Consumer Centres Network, ECC-Net, which includes 29 centres from all 27 EU member states plus Iceland and Norway. The centres provide information, advice and facilitate the amicable settlement of cross-border disputes.
