Romania's President Nicusor Dan on Tuesday announced having signed, together with the other European leaders, a joint statement on Ukraine that says peace cannot be built without Ukraine, without respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity and without the Ukrainian people freely deciding their future.
"I welcome President Donald Trump's efforts to help end Russia's illegal war against Ukraine and build a just and lasting peace solution. We signed, together with the other European leaders, our joint statement that states unequivocally: peace cannot be built without Ukraine, without respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity and without the Ukrainian people freely deciding their future," Dan wrote in a social media post.
He expressed Romania's support for Ukraine.
"Romania will continue to support Ukraine, together with the other European and transatlantic partners, for a secure, stable and democratic future in the region and for the defence of the values that underpin the European design," said Dan.
