Border police found a luxury car at Ostrov Border Checkpoint, transported with a platform by a Bulgarian citizen, who was wanted by the Norwegian judicial authorities, the car being seized, the Coast Guard informed on Tuesday, agerpres reports.
At the Ostrov Border Checkpoint, according to a press release sent by the Coast Guard, a Bulgarian citizen driving a van on December 6 showed up for border checks. The driver was pulling a platform carrying an Audi A8 car.
"Based on the risk analysis, the border guards carried out thorough checks on the towed car, after which they found that the car was listed as a wanted property for confiscation, an alert introduced by the Norwegian authorities. The car, valued at about 90,000 lei, was seized by Ostrov Border Police Sector, in order to continue the checks," reads a press release sent by the Coast Guard.
Border police are conducting investigations in this case for committing the crime of theft.
