On Tuesday, the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a Code Yellow warning for strong winds to be valid until Wednesday afternoon in 14 counties, Agerpres reports.
According to the forecast, between January 4, 8.00 pm - January 5, 6.00 pm, in the Apuseni Mountains and in the Eastern Carpathians, as well as in the lower parts of Alba, Suceava and Neamt counties, the wind will blow with increased speeds of 70 - 80 km/h and sometimes even with speeds higher than 90 km/h.
Also, the wind will blow at 50 - 55 km/h speed in parts of Maramures, Transylvania, northern Crisana and Dobrogea regions.
The counties targeted by the Code Yellow alert are: Suceava, Neamt, Alba, Maramures, Botosani, Mures, Harghita, Covasna, Bacau, Vrancea, Buzau, Salaj, Cluj and Bihor.
