The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued on Saturday several nowcasting Code Yellow warnings for fog and ice, valid across 27 counties in Banat, Transylvania, Muntenia, Oltenia, Dobrogea and Moldavia, as well as in Bucharest, Agerpres reports.
According to the specialised forecast, until 11:00, fog will be reported in Bucharest and in localities from the counties of Mehedinti, Caras-Severin, Timis, Alba, Cluj, Sibiu, Brasov, Mures, Covasna, Braila, Ialomita, Calarasi, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Teleorman, Olt, Dolj, Constanta, Tulcea, Bacau, Botosani, Suceava, Galati, Neamt, Vrancea, Iasi and Vaslui, with visibility reduced, locally below 200 metres, isolated below 50 metres.
This phenomenon will favour, depending on local conditions, the formation of ice.
Warnings for immediate dangerous phenomena (nowcasting) are issued for a maximum period of six hours.
