Representatives of the governing coalition gathered on Tuesday afternoon, at the Victoria Palace in order to discuss the measures set to be adopted in the coming period regarding the reform of magistrates' pensions and the public administration reform.
The meeting is attended by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, the President of the National Liberal Party (PNL), President of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Sorin Grindeanu, President of the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) Kelemen Hunor, Minister of Internal Affairs Catalin Predoiu (PNL), National Defence Minister Ionut Mosteanu (the Save Romania Union - USR), as well as by Deputy Varujan Pambuccian, leader of the national minorities parliamentary group.
Prior to the meeting, the leaders of the governing coalition carried out a round of consultations at the Cotroceni Palace with President Nicusor Dan regarding the draft law on magistrates' pensions.
According to political sources, a new round of discussions on this topic is scheduled on Wednesday at the Cotroceni Palace, which will also be attended by representatives of the justice system.
The parties in power are still discussing the reform of both local and central administration, the ban on combining state pensions with salaries, as well as the setting of the minimum wage level for next year.
