Romania's high-speed road network has reached 1,418 kilometres, following the opening on Tuesday of the Focsani-Adjud section of the A7 motorway, announced Cristian Pistol, CEO of the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR), on his Facebook page.
"Traffic is now open on the A7 Focsani-Adjud. From today, it is possible to travel continuously from Bucharest to Adjud (approximately 250 km via the A7 and A3). With this section, Romania's high-speed road network reaches 1,418 km! This is a vital investment for Moldavia's economy, which now has a historic chance for development," Pistol noted.
The CNAIR chief assured that by 2026 it will be possible to travel non-stop by motorway from Bucharest to Pascani, covering 372 kilometres, Agerpres informs.
"Work continues on the remaining 124 km of the A7. Next year, we will be able to travel continuously on the motorway from Bucharest to Pascani (372 km)," he added.
