By 9:00 AM on Sunday, 4.26% of voters listed in the electoral registers had voted in the first round of the presidential elections, of whom 46.15% were women and 53.85% were men, according to the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).
According to the BEC, voter turnout in urban areas was 5.1%, while in rural areas it accounted for 3.18%.
Voter turnout by age group is as follows: 6.25% - voters aged 18-24; 12.21% - voters aged 25-34; 17.77% - voters aged 35-44; 40.71% - voters aged 45-64; 23.06% - voters aged 65 and above.
In 2019, by 9:00 AM, voter turnout stood at 3.51%.
